An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Data and Systems team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven Data Management design & development skills, to enhance the Business Intelligence capability within the CSU for our customer base. This opportunity is within the Data and Systems team, which provides the technical solutions that underpin the corporate data analysis and reporting services offered to all of our customers.

The Team’s primary functions are to support and develop the Corporate Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems, which are based on Microsoft SQL Server, Analytics Platform System (PDW) and the SQL Server Business Intelligence stack. As such, proficient use of SQL query language and the use of SQL Server tools are essential.

The successful candidate will be part of the Data and Systems team and required to participate in most aspects of the team’s support and development activities. We are looking for a confident and proactive individual who has the correct aptitude to work with minimal supervision to ensure we deliver a robust service. You will have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with knowledge of NHS data flows a distinct advantage.

You will have an appreciation of NHS data sets and the main uses of CDS data, preferably gained in the NHS. This will enable you to understand the Business Intelligence requirements as early as possible, in order to be fully involved in design and set-up of service requirements.

• SQL Server 2008R2/12/14/16/17 BI toolset

• ETL design and development using SSIS

• Advanced T/SQL skills

• Analysing complex data in a relational database

• Data Warehouse concepts & design

• Software & Systems Development Lifecycle
